8 Best Fixes for Amazon Prime Video App Not Working on Windows 11

While you can enjoy Amazon’s Prime Video service in browser, you may also get the official app from the Microsoft Store. It works just like the web version of Prime Video, allowing you to watch, rent, and purchase content. You can use the Prime Video app to download a movie or TV series episode on your Windows 11 PC using the Prime Video app.

But such great features aren’t of any use if the app stops working properly. If you are facing issues, here are the best fixes for the Prime Video app not working on Windows 11.

1. Check Your Billing Status

Starting with the basics, you should first check the billing status of your Prime Video account. If the yearly or monthly subscription fee was not processed, your Prime Video account would not work properly on any device, including Windows PC. So here’s how you can check the same and make changes if required.

Step 1: Open the browser on your Windows 11 PC and go to primevideo.com.

Step 2: Sign in to your Amazon account.

Step 3: After logging in, click the profile icon at the top-right corner.

Step 4: Select Accounts and Settings from the options.

You might be asked to enter your Amazon account password again.

Step 5: In the Account and Settings page, click on Edit on Amazon next to Prime Membership if the payment was not processed.

Step 6: After the Amazon web page is loaded, click on View Payment Method at the top.

Step 7: Click on Edit Payment Method at the bottom.

Step 8: You can either add a new payment method or select a previously added payment method.

Step 9: Close the browser and open the Prime Video app to check if it works.

2. Check if Device Limit Has Exceeded

The next solution that you should consider is checking whether the device limit for your Prime Video account has been exceeded. You can use Prime Video to stream content on up to three devices using your account. So you should check if your friends or family members are watching the same title. You can deregister the device from your Prime Video account and check if the problem is solved.

3. Check if Prime Video Is Down

Another possible reason for the Prime Video app not working on your Windows 11 PC can be server downtime. You can check on DownDetector if Prime Video servers face issues regarding server connections or video streaming. You can report your concern as well on the website.

If Prime Video is working fine as per Downdetector, you can check out the next solutions below.
