Fix 1: Connect the Charger Properly
The main reason behind Mi Bands not charging is the incorrect positioning inside the charging cable. To fix that, ensure the back area properly aligns with the charging cable. The cylindrical area at the back should align with the available space in the charging cable. If you some extra space, the Mi Band won’t charge.
In order to ensure you’ve inserted the band properly, the pins on the band should align with the pins inside the charging cable.

Fix 2: Keep the Charger Connected for Some Time
If you have a new Mi Band that isn’t switching on or your Mi Band isn’t pairing with your phone, you need to leave it untouched for some time (10-30 minutes) after it’s plugged in properly. This happens if the Mi Band is fully discharged. So even if you plug it in, you will not see any charging symbol.
Just leave it in the charge patiently and check back after a while.
Tip: In case after 30 minutes, the band doesn’t power on, remove it from charging. Wait for 10-20 seconds. Then plug it back in to charge it.
Fix 3: Clean the Charging Pins
If the Mi Band still doesn’t charge after following the above solutions, it’s time to get your hands dirty. You need to clean the golden contact points of your Mi Band and the charging cable. You can do this with cotton swabs, tissues, or a microfiber cloth. Gently rub on the pins to get rid of any residue.
You might not see the dust with your naked eye, but it might be there. Once you have cleaned the pins, insert the Mi band into the charging cable, and hopefully, it will start charging normally.
Pro Tip: Scratch the golden charging pins slightly with a pair of scissors to remove any settled material.
Fix 4: Change the Charging Brick
If you have connected the charging cable to your PC or any other device, try connecting it to a phone charger (5V) instead. If you are already using a phone charger, try a different brick or use the USB port on your PC. You can also try using a different charging cable if it’s available to you.
